In a world where Netflix accounts sell on the dark web for 50 cents a pop, it's a good idea to keep an eye on who's logging in to your account.

Whether it's a stranger who hacked you or an ex who never logged you off their Apple TV, you probably don't want them mooching or mucking up your recommendations. The process for checking if there's any unusual activity on your account is simple. And if you do catch an interloper it's easy to kick them off.

Here's how.

First, log into your Netflix account on your computer and hover over your name in the upper-right corner of the page. Then click "your account" on the drop-down menu.

On that page, scroll down to "MY PROFILE" and click "Viewing activity".

A page with your most recently watched shows should come up. Click "See recent account access" at the top of it.
